Spinal Touch
A painless and far reaching treatment, which works by ensuring the centre of gravity and balance in the body is correct. This is achieved by stabilising the pelvis in its correct position so the spine and limbs can be in alignment, allowing the body's joints and organs to work without strain. Energy is allowed to flow freely to where it is needed when the body is alignment bringing a sense of ease and well-being.
Conceived and developed by a structural engineer who recognised that buildings and people were prone to collapse and stress without a firm foundation to support them; it has become one of the most popular ways, for many, to correct posture and relieve joint, back and muscle pain. As all the nervous system connects with the spine it will have a beneficial effect on the whole organism.
It can be performed through clothing or in underwear. Comparison of the angles of the spine shoulders, neck and limbs are measured against a plumb line, before and after treatment, to identify the level of correction. This can also be felt as an ease of mobility and posture. The treatment is carried out with the client lying flat on a treatment couch. A very light touch is applied to specific points which avoids any harsh manipulations.
Many people find lifestyle, accidents and emotional states cause tension, which can cause misalignment over time as muscles tense and shorten causing compensating problems and weaknesses throughout the body. Without correction this causes problems to natural functioning and can lead to pain and degenerative problems. An immediate effect is usual.
