Reflexology
A unique method of applying pressure with the fingers and thumbs on points called reflexes. It is usually carried out on the feet, but hands can also be used as well as points on the body.
Reflexes relate to all the systems and organs of the body . It is similar in the way meridians can be used to access and calm energy pathways.
Benefits include, but are not limited to:
. Relief of Stress and Tension
. Improving Blood Supply
. Unblocking Nerve Pathways
. Helping the Body to heal itself and achieve balance at all levels
Following a full consultation and discussion of expectations, the shoes and socks are removed. After cleansing the feet, oil or powder may be applied whilst the client relaxes on a reclined chair or massage couch. The feet are studied, relaxed and then a general treatment will be given. A relaxing finish will leave you feeling calm and centred. A period of rest is suggested to allow the healing processes to continue.
A treatment takes about 1 hour and can be clinical or just purely relaxing, used to boost immunity and prevent health problems, as well as often helping alleviate symptoms of specific ailments. Aftercare advice will be given to further benefit the results of a session.
Reflexology is widely used in hospitals to aid in reproductive, operative and palliative care situations. It has been researched and found to be helpful in many conditions especially pregnancy, asthma, back pain, cancer treatments and MS.
Used by many to help aches, pains, allergies, fatigue, stress, digestive, mobility and nervous disorders since before 2000 B.C.
I am a Fellow of the Association of Reflexologists and have been helping clients for over 20 years to feel better and improve their health. I would love to help you achieve your optimum potential.
